solid platform for tracking progress

grabbed the trial for trainerize when i saw a promo code for a discount on the annual plan pop up, figured why not. been using it mostly for the Body Composition Tracking and it's pretty decent, keeps everything organized so i can actually see my progress. the Exercise Video Library is a nice bonus too, sometimes i just need a quick demo. my only small nitpick is the interface can be a little clunky to navigate sometimes, especially jumping between features. but overall, it's a reliable system for keeping up with my fitness goals.

solid for trainers and clients

anyone else using abc trainerize? it's pretty good for keeping clients on track. i got it during the 30-day free trial, which was plenty of time to set things up, then decided to pay for the monthly plan. it's about 20 bucks a month for one trainer with 5 clients, and the custom exercise uploads feature is a lifesaver for showing clients exactly what to do. i also like how they've integrated on-demand video workouts, really helps when you can't be there in person. definitely prefer it over some other platforms i've checked out like truecoach for the price and features.

Good features, but the pricing adds up

I've used ABC Trainerize for a while now, and it's generally pretty solid for managing my clients and their programs, especially with the habit coaching tools. I renewed my subscription last week, and while the platform itself works well, paying per client feels a bit steep when you start scaling up.

My annual subscription for Trainerize is coming up for renewal, and I'm wondering if there's any trick to getting a better deal? I remember seeing something about Black Friday discounts last year, but that's ages away. Any referral codes or student discounts still active?

S Sneha22 2 days ago ✓ Best Answer
I got 10% off my yearly plan last time by just asking support if there were any current promotions. Sometimes they have unadvertised loyalty discounts or something. Worth a shot before it auto-renews at full price.

Oh, didn't think of just asking. Good idea!

R RahulK 2 days ago
Did you email them or use the in-app chat?

P PoojaR 2 days ago
There's usually an annual billing discount, which is already a bit cheaper than monthly. Beyond that, the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals are probably the biggest. I used a student discount back when I was in college, but you need a valid student ID to get that, I think.

G GamerRaj 2 days ago
Yeah, I'm already on annual billing. Guess I missed the student boat. 😂

I got a referral code from a friend once, that gave us both a small credit. You could try checking the Trainerize community forums, sometimes people share their codes there. Just make sure it's valid for new sign-ups or renewals, as they can be different.

I'll definitely look for referral codes. Thanks!

Is anyone else having trouble with the annual billing discount not applying at checkout?

D DeepikaReddy 2 months ago ✓ Best Answer
Mine applied automatically when I picked the annual option. Maybe try clearing your cache or a different browser?

Yeah, I saw the '10% off yearly plans' advertised but it didn't show up. Thought I was doing something wrong.

Same. Ended up just paying full price for now.

Did you try the referral code first? Maybe it overrides.

Finally switched from TrueCoach to ABC Trainerize yesterday. Still figuring out the client onboarding flow, but the custom branding options are a huge plus. Anyone else made this jump recently? Any tips for getting clients moved over smoothly?

D Deepak91 3 weeks ago
Oh, nice! I'm still on the fence about switching from TrueCoach. How's the workout builder compare? That's my main hesitation. Also, did you get any discount for annual billing when you signed up?
7
D Deepak91 3 weeks ago
Good to know about the builder. I've been eyeing that annual discount.
8
P PriyaS 3 weeks ago
Workout builder is definitely more robust on Trainerize, especially with the exercise video library. And yeah, I got the 10% off for yearly plans, it's pretty standard.
3
P PriyaS 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I made the switch a few months back. The custom branding was a big selling point for me too. For onboarding, I actually just sent out a detailed email with a short video tutorial on how to download the app and log in. Most of my clients are pretty tech-savvy so it wasn't too bad.
7
R RohitK 3 weeks ago
A video tutorial is smart. Did you use Trainerize's own onboarding videos or make your own?
3
P PriyaS 3 weeks ago
I made a quick personalized one showing them *my* branded app. Felt more personal than a generic one.

S SnehaR 3 weeks ago
I'm still on the free trial. It feels more comprehensive than what I had before, especially with the nutrition tracking. But sometimes the UI feels a bit much to navigate. Maybe it's just a learning curve.
9
P PriyaS 3 weeks ago
It definitely has a learning curve, but once you get used to it, it's pretty intuitive. Give it some time.

Finally made the jump to ABC Trainerize after years on a different platform. Setup was a bit more involved than I thought, especially with importing client data. Anyone else find the onboarding a bit clunky for existing trainers?

D DeepikaR 4 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I actually found it quite smooth, but I was starting fresh with new clients. Maybe that makes a difference? The custom branding feature was a huge plus for me from day one.
9
S SameerG 4 weeks ago
Yeah, the custom app feel is really professional.

R RohitK 4 weeks ago
Starting fresh would definitely be easier. The branding is a game-changer, agreed.

I had a similar experience. Took me a while to get all the habit coaching tools set up how I wanted them. But once it's done, it's pretty powerful.

R RohitK 4 weeks ago
Good to know I'm not the only one. Still figuring out the habit coaching bits.
2
P PriyaS 4 weeks ago
Yeah, it's not super intuitive if you're coming from somewhere else. I spent a good few hours on it. The exercise video library integration is pretty sweet once you're past that though.
0
R RohitK 4 weeks ago
True, the exercise library is a lifesaver. Did you use their import tool or just manually transfer everything?
0
A Ankit77 4 weeks ago
Mine was mostly manual too. Worth it though.
0
P PriyaS 4 weeks ago
Manual, mostly. The import tool seemed a bit rigid for my custom stuff.

Just renewed my annual ABC Trainerize subscription and the price jump was a bit of a shock. Anyone else notice their annual billing went up significantly this year?

V VikramJ 2 weeks ago
Hmm, I haven't gotten my renewal notice yet but this makes me nervous. I'm on the Pro plan with about 40 clients. Guess I'll be reviewing my next statement closely.
4
R RohanK 2 weeks ago
Good luck! Hopefully yours stays the same.
7
R RohanK 2 weeks ago
Yeah, mine too! I thought I was crazy. I got the 10% off yearly plans last time, but this renewal felt like it cancelled that out and then some. I'm wondering if it's because I added more clients this past year, or if they just increased the base price across the board.
0
D Deepak77 2 weeks ago
Did you try contacting support? Sometimes they'll offer a retention discount if you ask.
8
A AnjaliP 2 weeks ago
Same here. My bill for the Pro plan shot up. I think they ended some introductory rate I was on. Didn't even realize it was a promo until now.
3
N NehaG 2 weeks ago
I actually switched to monthly billing a few months ago because I was planning to take a break. It's more expensive per month, but at least there are no surprises with a big annual jump. I'd recommend checking if that's an option for you if the annual bill is too much.
9
P PriyaS 2 weeks ago
Is cancelling easy with monthly? I'm worried about being locked in.
